The Next Revolution
- What is this all about?
-
While I am loathe to condense something so complex into a phrase starting with "in a nutshell," I have
to start somewhere. So let's make a deal: I'll give you a pithy encapsulation of the topic if you agree
not to view that as the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
So... in a nutshell, The Next Revolution is my thinking around the massive societal change that will be wrought by exponential technological advancement. So far, not very original. You can find any number of people proposing that we are heading over a technological cliff—or elevator, take your pick—and they break down into two camps: It's Going to be Wonderful and It's Going to be Disastrous.
They are both right, both wrong, and both missing the point.
Technological change has both the potential of great harm (not just the end of widespread prosperous employment but the end of the human race) and the potential of great good (a new Aquarian era of unparalleled harmony and understanding). We are at the threshold of the greatest choice point in history. It may be too late; I'm certainly not going to pretend that my humble effort will turn the tide, but swinging for the bleachers is the only option for anyone who can see where this is leading. If we go down, we go down fighting.
I have a great deal of material to organize and post in this space, and it will be arriving incrementally. So bear with me. A lot of the content will be posted as videos for easier digestion. - For Now...
